A fishing app for your catch diary and statistics

CatchCount is a fishing diary for your phone. You log a catch with a few taps right on the bank, and the app gathers the data and shows you what really works and where.

What is CatchCount

CatchCount is an app for recreational anglers that replaces the notebook and the memories after a day on the water. Every catch is logged with the fish species, weight, bait, groundbait, hook, distance, the conditions around it and, if you like, a photo. The location is picked up by GPS, and the app later turns it into a readable name of a water body or a town or village.

The goal is simple: after a few trips, you see numbers instead of hunches — which spot, which bait and groundbait, and what time of day the fish bite best.

What you can do with it

  • An active session with a timer for every rod. Tap “Start Timer” when you cast and “Land Fish” when you land a fish. You can use several rods at once and set a reminder with a sound alert. The screen stays on during the session. More about the fishing diary.
  • A catch diary with history. All your catches are in one place and can be filtered by time, species and location.
  • Statistics and recommendations. Breakdowns by fish species, month, bait, groundbait, hook and distance, personal bests and a summary of every session — including the number of casts and the biggest fish. How the statistics work.
  • Works without internet. Your records stay on your phone and sync when the connection returns. How offline mode works.
  • Water bodies, competitions and reservations. A list of water bodies and fishing venues, competitions and sector booking. Water bodies and competitions.
  • Many languages. The interface is in Bulgarian, English and 15 more languages.

Who it is for

For anyone who fishes more than a few times a year: on a reservoir, on a river, at a paid fishing pond or in a competition. It is especially useful for feeder and float anglers, for whom the choice of groundbait, bait and distance decides the result. Owners and managers of water bodies can apply for a trader profile and manage their venues in the app.

How to get started

  1. Create an account with your email or with Google.
  2. Install the app on your phone's home screen — it takes a few seconds.
  3. Start a session, cast and log your catches. The statistics build up on their own.
